Welcome to the Judicial Professional Employees Website!

We are the exclusive bargaining representative for over 1000 employees in the State of Connecticut Judicial Branch of government. Our members provide a wide variety of services essential to the orderly operation of the state’s court system. We are in the civil and criminal courts as well as the family, juvenile, housing and community courts. We work closely with judges, prosecutors, public defenders, private attorneys, law enforcement officials, and a host of social service and mental health practitioners. Some of us are attorneys, some are licensed professionals and many possess advanced academic degrees. A partial list of our areas of expertise includes: counseling divorcing families, advocating for the rights of crime victims, supervising offenders in the community, enforcing child support orders, evaluating and placing juvenile offenders and facilitating the flow of court documents.
